*If you enjoyed this comic please watch me at Neutronicsoup [link] *
I am planning on producing a whole versus series for the main six. And I may extend it further because I do have some ideas for the cutie Mark Crusaders.
This comic isn't as random as it first appears if you remember in Dragon shy Pinkie Pie plays tic-tac-toe against rarity and wins every time, the final panel is actually supposed to represent this scene.
If you have never seen the film wargames before then you're probably going to find it hard to understand what is going on here. And in that case you should most definitely click this link and watch the film and even if you have actually seen it you better watch it again anyway because it is a bloody good film.
link is gone
But if you don't have time to watch it here is a brief synopsis, the computer featured in the comic known as the WOPA is a supercomputer originally created to play video games against human beings and to learn from it's performances. However in the film which is set during the Cold War the US government get their hands on the computer and use it as part of their defence network. *spoiler* the problem is the computer believes it is playing a game and nearly destroys the entire Earth and for some reason they have to play tic-tac-toe against it to stop it from destroying everything. This fact is explained in much more depth in the film and actually make sense.
I rember that movie, the trick was to play not to win but to end in stalemate. This way the computer relaizes that not all games end in a victory, it worked, and began to anyalaze the data on the effects of a nuclear strike. Each simaultion shwoed only one thing no victory, both sides wipe each other out over and over and over again. Nobody wins in the end.
And War Games is an okay film.

ALWAYS.
